Even though this research blog deadline
was already due, I would like to continue to add some content into this blog as I am still researching on my topic and I want to have a place where I can channel my thoughts and points on the resources that I feel can be related to my topic.
After the first tutorial, I was told by my
lecturer that marketers/business companies are not really a community as
community is when people with the same interest come together. My lecturer then
suggested me to just go in depth about YouTubers using Youtube as a social
media platform. I was told to change one of the communities(marketers) in
my essay into a specific genre of YouTubers with another genre of YouTubers.
For example : Gamers vs Vloggers.
Therefore, I will research more about
YouTubers and figure out which kind of content creator I would like to choose
to write on for my essay. For now, I am comfortable with writing about Vloggers
but the other content creator that I want to compare and contrast with is still
unclear.
Listening to music all the time bores me as I can't stand listening to the same song over and over again. Therefore, I listen to podcasts. This is a podcast that I stumble upon my recommended feed. I find it interesting and it will also help me on my essay topic.

Points that I picked up from the podcast
Viewers want them to collaborate with their other fav. YouTuber.
Some YouTubers make content(videos)
with another YouTuber just for views. They're not friends but just another
YouTuber to collaborate with. She doesn't feel comfortable with them. It
doesn’t work like that.
Age gap is actually a problem. They cannot relate with each
other. Example: Clubbing
Most YouTubers don’t know what they’re actually doing even
though some of them act as though know what they are doing going with the
internet . Nobody knows where they can go with their videos. (Fame : Tv shows,
pop artist , movie)
(24:11)Younger generations make money from YouTube whereas older
popular are the ones that pave the path for the new YouTubers now.
A couple of new/young popular YouTubers: They are not the
biggest of the deal of the world but they think they are the great and best.They
should think about the older popular YouTubers that have been on YouTube for a
long time who has put lot of thoughts to their video and make YouTube a
platform which is not just for random normal home videos / animal videos
