The success of re-opening the story by producing a Netflix series that gain more popularity than before. Adding on, the controversy about story made the series more popular. An advertising agency created tape recordings and posted it on YouTube to let readers gain a whole experience.

Pokémon: Video Games
It all started in 1995 as a pair of Nintendo games and became a franchise from using an array of media. Pokémon gives a sense of competitiveness and curiosity to the public, making it so popular; still producing games until today. The production of link cable made players more eager to play and exchange Pokémon to one another as each Pokémon version has an exclusive Pokémon. The latest released, Pokémon GO gain popularity by storm because of its emotional connection with fans.

It is known as a collectable other than it being a game. Pokémon fans are able to experience battling Pokémon with a physical person rather than digitalised. Furthermore, Pokémon fanatics aim to have a full collection of Pokémon cards which is difficult as there are many limited and rare Pokémon cards out there that are being sold for a high sum.

The popularity of the game made the television series possible and popular worldwide; having multi-language being dubbed into the series and film. Though their initial target audience are kids, people of all ages are attracted to the story. Furthermore, the regions (Pokémon world places) can be seen through different perspectives.

The spread of books related to Pokémon that have been published to guide and immerse Pokémon fans into the Pokémon world and the reproduction of Pokémon background music by fans.

QUESTION 5 Explore a variety of media is used within the context of branding or transmedia storytelling . Does variety dilute the effectiveness of an advertising campaign or story? Fan art- Incorporation of My Little Pony and Eeveelution from Pokémon As "a vehicle of and for the national imagination transmitted through a currency of superpowers and lovable characters", Pokemon fans are very invested in their characters. (Allison, 2006) Therefore, with their love and interest for the characters, they create their own version of the story also known as fan-fiction . According to Henry Jenkins, fan fiction can be seen as an unauthorised expansion of these media franchises into new directions which reflect the reader's desire to "fill in the gaps" they have discovered in the commercially produced material. Fan fiction are normally being produced by dedicated individual that wish to continue the role for their favourite character in the initial story.
